Second grade is a year full of exciting learning experiences and opportunities to seek out independence. Students will have ample opportunities to grow as learners and I will be there every step of the way to guide them and cheer them on. 
I value social/emotional learning just as much as I do academics. Each and every day we will start on a positive note with a morning greeting. Students sure do love the electric handshake and virtual high five. Throughout the year we will be using a mood meter to discuss our feelings, participate in kindness related activities and of course always seek out ways to spread kindness at Lake Garda School. 
Throughout the year I will be sending group e-mails as my primary means of communication. In those e-mails I will include academic updates, class reward info., field trip/special PTO information as well as bursts of good news! I will also use Twitter and Remind to send photos and updates on all the learning taking place in room D2.
I am proud to say I am a teacher and look forward to being able to learn alongside your child this year.
