Lake Garda School is one of two elementary schools located in Regional School District #10 which serves the Connecticut towns of Burlington and Harwinton. We have approximately 450 students and 75 full and part time staff. We are a proud PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) school that recognizes its students for displaying appropriate behavior. Lake Garda School has three schoolwide behavioral expectations:
- Respectful – students should treat others as they wish to be treated
- Responsible – students should make positive choices
- Friendly – students should be welcoming
Students earn ‘Dolphin Dollars’ for displaying expected behaviors. The Dolphin Dollars are counted and totaled each week. Once the goal is reached, the entire school earns a reward. Some of the rewards that have been earned in the past include: extra recess, crazy hat and wig day, game day and a dance party. We are proud of our students!
