I have been a Burlington resident since 1983 and I, too, gleefully roamed the hallways of Lake Garda School. I hold the Region 10 community near and dear to my heart. It was the positive influence of a teacher from Lake Garda that helped inspire me to become an educator. My academic career in Region 10 guided me to an undergraduate in Elementary Education at Central Connecticut State University.

Upon graduation, I began teaching in Bridgeport, CT in 6th grade, where I spent the first, five, blissful years of my teaching career. During my fifth year of teaching, I left mid-year to give birth to my first child. My second born son followed quickly behind, and I found myself doing a new and challenging job of being a full-time mom and finishing my Master’s degree in Educational Technology at Central Connecticut State University.

I was hired in Region 10 in 2009 and spent  7 years teaching 4th grade at Lake Garda. I  accepted the enrichment teacher position for grades K-4 for the 2016/17 school year, within the region, and am working to create unique and enriching opportunities for our students.

I implemented a STEM Club, at Lake Garda Elementary in 2016 for grades 3 and 4. Ct Invention Convention was launched in Region 10 in 2017, under my direction, when all 4th graders completed the program. Four of our students advanced to the National level that was held at the Henry Ford Museum in Michigan and one of the students place 2nd place in the 4th grade division. I also coordinate and oversee 13 Odyssey of the Mind teams and MANY of our students have experienced success at competing at the World Finals that are held, typically, in Michigan or Iowa. I am extremely proud to have been on the planning committee for Region 10's Stratostar Ballon Launch and STEM day that began in 2016. I am very honored to be working with the students in Region 10. I  enjoy each and every moment with my students, families and colleagues.

I currently reside in Burlington with my husband and children. I have a deep love for Region 10 and consider myself fortunate to be a part of it!
