Welcome to 3rd grade!

Third graders visit the media center weekly. When classes visit every week, we always have book exchange and are exposed to new library materials. Students can visit anytime during the week when reading material is needed. We will be using the laptops to conduct research and and learn navigational tools. Fun website addresses will be posted here so students can use these from home also.

We will also be using encyclopedias, dictionaries, almanacs and atlases throughout the year.We will be sharing parts of chapter books together, to expose the students to great authors they may not be aware of.

Third graders have done research, to design a license plate of a state they may have visited or want to visit. They designed their own license plates. They completed research on statehood dates, capitals and different symbols associated with each state.
Look at the websites we've been using to view the most current license plate of every state.
They were using the websites below for researching facts to add to the license plates.
