Back to school can be an exciting time of year for everyone in the house!  Your child may be looking forward to a new adventure, but may also feel some anxiety as well.  Be sure to start a routine early -  a few weeks prior to the first day.  If your child gets to bed at a reasonable time and wakes up early, the routine of school days won't seem so difficult.  Have your child plan things out the night before (like what he or she would like to wear to school) and think about breakfast,  lunch and snacks all in advance.  This helps lessen morning stress, gives your child some ownership regarding their day away from you and increases independence.  This is going to be a super year! :)
